TVC has always prided itself in being primarily a family video library,
being run by the Ayres family ( Peter, Barbara, Steve and Ann ) since
the first branch opened in April, 1982. Established as one of the oldest
video rental clubs in the UK, we opened our second branch at Sidley in
February 1992. Since then we have set up video libraries in other areas.
TVC are members of the Video Standards Council and are also active members of the Federation of Small Businesses.
TVC rental libraries carry a large range of titles and each store has a dedicated New Release section. Multiple copies are stocked of all major new releases to ensure that our members are able to rent the title of their choice. All films can be booked in advance either by e-mail, telephone or personal visit to one of the stores.
Each branch includes an extensive selection for our younger members and we are an appointed Disney stockist.
A large selection of ex-rental films are available for sale at either store, and due to our stocking of multiple copies many titles are available within weeks of release. We buy our films directly from all the premier film companies and, unlike some other video rental outlets, do not buy any second-hand films.
We have direct accounts with Warner Brothers, 20th Century Fox, Columbia Pictures, Universal Studios, Paramount and Film 4.
We were the first video library in Rother to stock DVD's for both rental and sale and these are stocked in both stores.
Since 1982 TVC have specialised in providing a customer order service for retail tapes and have access to over 30,000 titles for sale.
In 1997 we started a home delivery service for those members unable to visit our shops. This service extends as far as Hastings and has proved to be extremely popular.
Other services provided by the Bexhill branch include a 24 hour fax facility and both colour and black and white photocopying. Black and white copies are 5p for A4 and standard colour copies are from 50p.
