Steve Coogan, plays Ray Elliott, a man who runs an alibi service for men and women who want to spend a little “quality time” away from their so-called loved ones.
However, Ray finds himself caught up with a new client, played by James Marsden, who unfortunately strangles his date, which obviously complicates things for everyone involved (particularly the lady that he has just murdered).
With the help of his sexy, fast talking and quick thinking assistant Lola, played by Rebecca Romijn, Ray has to mastermind one final con that will not only clear him from any involvement with the murder but will also free him from his murky past.
The film, which is full of twists and turns, also stars James Brolin, Debora Kara Unger, John Leguizano and Aimee Garcia.
