This eagerly awaited sequel to Kidulthood, a film that has achieved cult status, stars and is written and directed by Noel Clarke.
The film begins with Sam Peel’s (played by Clarke) release from prison after serving six years for the killing of Trife. He soon finds that life on the outside is just as tough as being behind bars and he is forced to confront the people who he hurt most.
He also has to face up to a new generation of gang members who are seeking revenge and becomes embroiled in an almost hopeless battle to drive home the message that violence doesn’t pay.
Released at a time when almost every day brings yet another story of teenage death on Britain’s streets we can only hope that Adult - hood helps to get the right message across.
