Babylon A.D. is set in the not-too-distant future and stars Vin Diesel as a mercenary, Toorop, who is hired to transport a cloistered young girl, Aurora –played by Melanie Thierry – from Russia to a safe haven in the USA.
But in a world where life is cheap, resources are scarce and a variety of blood sports form the major entertainment, a seemingly simple task is compromised when it becomes obvious that a number of interested parties appear determined to get their hands on young Aurora.
Michelle Yeoh stars as Sister Rebeka, Aurora’s guardian, and there is barrel loads of action as Toorop fights his way through a cage fight, an Arctic chase sequence and a shootout in Manhattan traffic.
