After hearing a series of disturbing noises in their suburban home, young couple Katie and Micah decide to use a camcorder in order to capture the perpetrator on film.
However, as each night passes the noises get louder and the ghostly footsteps get nearer and Katie and Micah decide that that a ghost is occupying their new home.
After taking advice from a paranormal researcher they decide to bring in a Ouija board in an attempt to contact the spirits.
However, this move deeply offends the ghosts
and the couple begin to discover just how scary poltergeists can be.
This is a movie that will certainly make you jump as the young couple are terrorised by the unseen force. More a supernatural thriller than gory horror - and all the better for it - the film took a very creditable £10 million at the British box office.
