Thrown into prison for dealing drugs first time offender Ron Decker, played by Edward Furlong (Terminator 2), is an easy target for every freak and psycho in the state penitentiary. His only hope of survival is the friendship and protection of the forbidding Earl Copen (Willem Dafoe – American Psycho), a brutal career criminal who rules the prison with a rod of iron.
Fortunately for the new inmate, Copen takes a liking to him but Ron is not sure if the blossoming friendship is for real or whether there is an underlying purpose to Copen’s attitude toward him.
Ron is about to discover that on the inside no one can be trusted and making the wrong decision can be lethal.
Directed by that excellent actor Steve Buscemi and starring Buscemi, Mickey Rourke and Tom Arnold this powerful and uncompromising prison thriller received much critical acclaim.
